Fire Department Responds to Laundry Room Fire
The Glen Ellyn Volunteer Fire Company responded to today's house fire at 6:37 a.m.
Glen Ellyn fire crews responded to a fire alarm in the 500 block of St. Charles road at 6:37 a.m. Tuesday morning.
The fire was located in the laundry room of the home around the dryer, according to a statement from the fire company.
Damage was contained to the one room and the fire was quickly extinguished. The family was home at the time of the fire and evacuated without injury. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time and under investigation.
