DUI Arrests, Public Intoxication, Garage Burglary: Police Blotter

SUNDAY, JUNE 16

Resisting police, obstructing justice

Justin W. Garrett, 25, of the 700 block of West Liberty, Wheaton, was charged with the following:
  • Resisting/obstructing an officer 
  • Obstructing justice
  • Outstanding DuPage County warrant
Police arrested Garrett at 10:30 p.m. on the 500 block of Crescent Boulevard.

Graffiti I

Someone at 7:25 p.m. reported painted graffiti on an electrical box at Briar and Surrey.

Theft

Patricia K. Nelson, 57, of Parkway Lane in Wheaton, was charged with theft under $500 at 5:10 p.m. at Highland and Oak.

Taillights busted

Someone at 3:15 a.m. broke the taillights of a vehicle that was parked on the first block of Briar.

No valid license

Ryan Mathew Vazquez, 31, of the 1200 block of Chapel Court, Glendale Heights, was charged at 2:22 a.m. with no valid driver's license on the 400 block of Pennsylvania.

DUI, speeding

Paul E. DeLeon, 49, of the 900 block of North Grace, Lombard, was charged at 1:52 a.m. with DUI and speeding at Roosevelt Road and Surrey, police said.

SATURDAY, JUNE 15

Cannabis, controlled substance possession

Chauncy E. Dampier, 33, of the 400 block of Marshall, Bellwood, was charged with possession of a controlled substance. He was arrested at 12:12 a.m. on the 600 block of Roosevelt Road, according to police. Also charged at the scene was Amanda Monia Hardnett, 21, of the 10100 block of Devonshire, Westchester, with possession of cannabis—30g and under.

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 12

Graffiti II

Someone at 9 a.m. reported painted graffiti on a ComEd utility box at Briar and Surrey.

TUESDAY, JUNE 11

Garage burglary

Someone broke into a locked garage, stole a $600 jacket and broke several miscellaneous items worth $375 at Marston and Cedar. The incident occurred sometime between 1 a.m. and 2:10 p.m., according to police.

DUI, improper lane usage

Suan K. Thang, 42, of the 500 block of Park Plaza, Glen Ellyn, was charged at 12:54 a.m. at Roosevelt Road and Park with DUI and improper lane usage, police said.

SUNDAY, JUNE 9

Shaving cream on car

Someone used shaving cream to draw pictures on a vehicle while it was parked in the area of Marston and Cedar. The incident occurred sometime between 10 and 11 p.m., police said.

Public intoxication

The following men, all from the 700 block of West Liberty Street in Wheaton, were charged with public intoxication:
  • James B. Thomas, 46
  • Ralph B. Robertson, 48
  • Bradley J. Earls, 51
The men were arrested at 1:06 p.m. in Prairie Path Park.

DUI, improper lane usage

Jason G. Gojdas, 34, of the 1300 block of Eagle Street, Naperville, was charged at 2:56 a.m. at Roosevelt Road and Abbey with DUI and improper lane usage, police said.
