The FBI has charged a Cicero man in the July robbery of a Glendale Heights TCF Bank.
Glenn A. Rogers, 43, of the 6000 block of W. Pershing Road, was arrested without incident on Wednesday at his home, the FBI said in a news release.
Rogers allegedly robbed a TCF Bank at 2164 Bloomingdale Road on July 27, according to the FBI. He was charged with one count of bank robbery, a felony.
A story in the Chicago Tribune reported that Rogers presented a teller at the bank branch, located inside Jewel, with a note asking for all the money in the top drawer. The note indicated the bank robber had a gun. Rogers was allegedly given $1,172 and the note and he left the bank.
Rogers appeared Thursday before U.S. Magistrate Judge Sheila M. Finnegan, at which time he was formally charged and was released on bond pending his next court appearance.
