Child Almost Abducted at Stacy Park

Glen Ellyn Police Officers responded to after a child was almost abducted Wednesday night.  

According to a report from police, a Lombard woman and her 9-year-old son were in the park when a man approached the boy and offered to give him money if he got into the man's van. 

The boy said no and walked away toward his mother. 

The boy said the man walked back to a dark red minivan where another man was waiting and the two drove away. 

The boy described the man who approached him as a white male, 5'08'', 230 pounds, with light brown hair and a mustache. The man was also said to be wearing blue jean shorts and a t-shirt. There was no description of the second man. 

The incident is under investigation and no further information is available at this time.
