Cannabis Possession, Public Intoxication, DUI Arrests: Police Blotter

Glen Ellyn Police Department reports, June 16-23.

SUNDAY, JUNE 23

DUI, improper turn

Patrick M. Miller, 23, of the 700 block of Euclid Avenue, Glen Ellyn, was charged with the following:
  • Driving under the influence
  • Uninsured motor vehicle
  • Improper turn
  • Failure to signal
Police arrested Miller at 2:01 a.m. at the intersection of Spring and Route 53.

Burglary from motor vehicle

Someone entered an unlocked vehicle while it was parked in a driveway and stole miscellaneous items on the 600 block of Bremer Court. The incident occurred sometime between 7 p.m. June 22 and 8 a.m. June 23, police said.

SATURDAY, JUNE 22

Smashed windshield

Someone smashed the front windshield of a vehicle while it was parked in a parking lot on the 200 block of Hawthorne Boulevard. The incident occurred sometime between 7 a.m. and noon, police said.

DUI, improper lighting

Michael L. Amison, 26, of the 5000 block of West Congress Parkway, Chicago, was charged with the following:
  • Driving under the influence
  • Sign violation
  • Improper lighting (one headlamp)
Police arrested Amison at 4:18 a.m. on the 600 block of Roosevelt Road.

Cannabis possession

Police charged 23-year-olds Chaz J. Mustard, of the 200 block of Edgewater Drive, Bloomingdale, and Angela L. Jimenez, of the 600 block of Park Plaza, Glen Ellyn, with possession of cannabis 30g and under. Mustard and Jimenez were arrested at 1:17 a.m. on the 600 block of Roosevelt Road. 

FRIDAY, JUNE 21

Suspended license, in-state warrants

Joseph L. Schwartz, 32, of the 500 block of South Beverly, Wheaton, was charged with driving while license suspended and driving an uninsured motor vehicle. Schwartz, who was arrested at 4:11 pm. at Roosevelt Road and Surrey, also had one outstanding warrant each in Kane and Winnebago counties.

Drug paraphernalia

James D. Ellis, 49, of the 700 block of West Liberty Street, Wheaton, was charged at 7:12 a.m. with possession of drug paraphernalia on the 500 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, police said.

THURSDAY, JUNE 20

Battery

Kyle K. Deger, 20, of the 400 block of Philips Avenue, Glen Ellyn, was charged at 5:43 p.m. with battery on the 300 block of Roosevelt Road, police said.

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 19

Damaged Vehicle I

Someone at 11 p.m. reported that a vehicle was damaged while it was parked along the 100 block of South Milton in front of a driveway. 

Bicycle Stolen At Train Station

Someone stole a bicycle from a train station bicycle rack by Park Boulevard sometime between 7 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., police said.

Damaged Vehicle II

Someone damaged a vehicle while it was parked in a parking garage on the 400 block of Raintree Court. The incident occurred sometime between 10:30 p.m. June 18 and 2 p.m. June 19, police said.

Cannabis, Drug Paraphernalia

Kevin E. Plonka, 19, of the 22W300 block of 2nd Street, Glen Ellyn, was charged with possession of cannabis, possession of drug paraphernalia and obstructed windshield. Plonka was arrested at 1:57 p.m. at St. Charles Road and Main Street. He was previously charged with cannabis and drug equipment possession on May 2, according to Patch archives.

MONDAY, JUNE 17

Lawn mower theft

Someone took a lawn mower from the front yard of a residence on the 100 block of Spring Avenue. The incident occurred sometime between noon and 1 p.m., according to police. 

Alcoholic heist

Someone removed five cases of alcohol from a delivery truck while it was parked in the loading dock of a business on the 500 block of Roosevelt. The incident occurred sometime between 10:45 a.m. and 12:46 p.m., according to police. 

Drug paraphernalia, revoked license

Michael A. Olinski, 36, of the 1100 block of Royal Glen Drive, Glen Ellyn, was charged with the following:
  • Driving while license revoked
  • Uninsured motor vehicle
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
Police arrested Olinski at 9:14 a.m. at Finley Road and Cheltenham Drive.

SUNDAY, JUNE 16

Public intoxication

Linda L. Valez, 33, of the 700 block of West Liberty Street, Wheaton, was charged at 3:58 p.m. with public intoxication at Roosevelt Road and Abbey, police said.
