Blotter: Officers Respond to Indecent Exposure

The following incidents were taken from the Glen Ellyn police blotter.

Theft: Officers responded to a reported theft at , 550 N. Main, May 1 at 6:52 p.m. According to the report, an unknown offender stole a bicycle that was left unlocked on the bike rack. The bike is valued at $429. 

Driving under the influence: While on patrol an officer performed a traffic stop at Roosevelt Road and Lambert Road on May 1 at 9:40 a.m. According to the report, Misael Guerero, 26, of Aurora was charged with a DUI and issued a traffic citation for improper lane usage. 

Driving under the influence: While on patrol, an officer performed a traffic stop at Roosevelt Road and Lambert Road on May 1 at 11:15 p.m. According to the report, James Steward, 54, of Glen Ellyn, was charged with a DUI and issued traffic citations for improper lane usage and failure to signal.

Possession of drug equipment: While on patrol, an officer came across a parked vehicle in the middle of the roadway at Heather Lane and Surrey Drive on May 4 at 4 a.m. According to the report, Mark S. Jacoby, 53, of Glen Ellyn was given a warning for improper parking in the roadway and was issued a village ordinance citation for possession of drug equipment. 

Possession of cannabis and drug equipment: While on patrol, an officer performed a traffic stop at Main Street and Hillside Avenue on May 5 at 11:30 p.m. According to the report, Kate M. McEldowney, 23, of Glendale Heights was issued a traffic citation for disobeying a stop sign and issued village ordinance citations for possession of cannabis and possession of drug equipment.

Public intoxication: Officers responded to a public intoxication report at the Shell Gas Station, 631 Roosevelt Road, on May 6 at 7:18 p.m. According to the report, Gerrard C. Jackson, 30, of Toledo was issued a citation for public intoxication. 

Driving under the influence: While on patrol, an officer performed a traffic stop at Roosevelt Road and Nicoll Way on May 7 at 2:39 a.m. According to the report, Katherine J. Walter, 22, of St. Charles was charged with a DUI and issued traffic citations for speeding and improper lane usage. 

Disorderly conduct: Officers responded to a reported indecent exposure at Forest Avenue and Pennsylvania Avenue on May 7 at 1:25 p.m. According to the report, Robert A. Walensa, 45, of Wheaton was issued a village ordinance citation for disorderly conduct. 

Damage to village property: While on patrol, an officer observed a large amount of red spray paint on the roadway on Forest Avenue just south of the intersection at Hill Avenue. The public works department was then notified to have the paint removed.
