Authorities Seize More than 1 Ton of Gold, Silver from Glen Ellyn Man

Federal authorities have taken action to seize $1.3 million in gold and silver from a Glen Ellyn man accused of participating in a cross-country drug operation.

William E. Brock, 36, of Glen Ellyn, was arrested in California back in April after a traffic stop uncovered about 294 pounds of marijuana. A search of his Glen Ellyn home uncovered marijuana and a lease for a storage unit on Ogden Avenue in Lisle where officials discovered the gold and silver, according to a story in the Daily Herald.

Authorities took action Wednesday to seize Brock’s assets, according to the report. More than a ton of gold and silver was seized. He was also found to have more than $75,000 in cash.

Brock was indicted in California in connection with conspiring to distribute more than 100 kilograms of marijuana and possession with the intent to deliver more than 100 kilograms of marijuana, according to reports.
