$11K Tire Theft, Cannabis Arrest, DUI: Police Blotter

FRIDAY, JULY 5

Violating protection order

Thomas J. Centeno, 47, of the 900 block of Lorraine Avenue, Wheaton, was charged with violation of an order of protection and driving while license suspended. Centeno was arrested at 7:44 p.m. on the 300 block of Elm.

$11,000 in tires stolen

Someone stole multiple tires from vehicles that were parked in the lot of a business on the 300 block of Roosevelt Road. The incident occurred sometime between 3 p.m. July 3 and 7:30 a.m. July 5. The estimated value of the tires is $11,000.

TUESDAY, JULY 2

Criminal damage to property

Someone scratched a parked vehicle in a parking lot on the 600 block of Roosevelt Road. The incident occurred sometime between 7 p.m. July 1 and 5 p.m. July 2. 

Burglary

Someone entered an unlocked garage door and stole a $94 bicycle on the 400 block of Ridgewood. The incident occurred sometime between 9 p.m. July 1 and 2 p.m. July 2. 

Parking sign through window

Someone reported at 7:34 a.m. that an unknown offender threw a No Parking sign into a window, causing it to shatter at Glenbard West High School on the 600 block of Crescent Boulevard. 

MONDAY, JULY 1

Fraud

Someone stole a Raleigh Talus bicycle from a backyard on the 300 block of Brandon. The incident occurred sometime between 6:20 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.

Cannabis possession

Police charged Michael J. Beckley, 28, of the 600 block of Avon, Elburn, with possession of cannabis 30g and under, possession of drug paraphernalia and disobeying a stop sign. Beckley was arrested at 8:40 a.m. at Pennsylvania and Prospect.

TUESDAY, JUNE 30

DUI, failure to signal

James E. Archie, 26, of the first block of Briar, Glen Ellyn, was charged with driving under the influence and failure to signal at 4:41 a.m. on the same block.

No license, speeding

Sean S. Sajdak, 39, of the 400 block of Windsor, Lombard, was charged at 1:42 a.m. with no valid driver's license at St. Charles Road and Columbine.
