Pets of the Week: Stray Seeks Home, Older Guy With Kisses to Give

Each week we share bios of pets from area rescue groups that are looking for homes. This week the pets are from Animal Rescue Foundation – IL. Elliot

Elliot is a quiet little guy who likes to follow you around everywhere you go. Even though he is 8 years old, he still has a lot of spunk! He loves to cuddle and he loves to give kisses. He will need to receive drops in his eyes two times a day for the rest of his life for his dry eyes, but he gives no trouble when they are given. He is very treat driven and picks up on things fast, he mastered potty training in two days! So if you have it in your heart to share the end of your bed and have some extra pillows for Elliot, he is waiting to be your best friend. He really is a wonderful dog! Elliot is micro-chipped, up to date on all vaccinations, housebroken and neutered. His adoption fee is $125.

Elliot can be seen Monday- Saturday 7 a.m.-7 p.m. at Spotted Paw in Wheaton.

Autumn

Autumn was a stray found walking the streets of Naperville. Since she has no front claws, it would have been difficult for her to defend herself against other animals, or people, who meant to harm her.  She is an extremely loving cat who gives head butts to encourage you to pet her.  She gets along with her foster mom’s other cats and dog.  On the second day in her foster home, Autumn actually walked up to the dog, sniffing her nose and rubbing against her.  This girl is extremely gentle and is loaded with personality. She’s just an all around great cat. 

The Animal Rescue Foundation – IL (ARF) is a no-kill, volunteer based, nonprofit, dedicated to enriching the lives of animals that society has abandoned, rejected, and neglected.  The organization does this through promoting responsible pet ownership. Animals are fostered at homes and the organization does not have a shelter.

Fees for adoption are: dogs: $200; puppies: $225; cats: $110; kittens: $125, front paw declawed adults cats $125 unless otherwise noted
