Every week we bring you pets looking for homes at area rescue groups. This week the pets are from Animal Rescue Foundation – IL (ARF). We welcome other animal shelters and rescue groups to contact us to participate in this weekly column. To participate, contact Glen Ellyn Local Editor Mary Ann Lopez.
Diana is a beautiful adult long-haired Calico mix. She will be a fantastic companion cat, is fully vetted and ready to go to the right home. Her adoption fee has been subsidized for any approved applicant. ARF will check references to ensure our animals go to the right homes regardless of subsidized adoption fees. Diana prefers a quiet home, but is ok with other cats. She is currently in a foster home because she takes some time to warm up to new situations. The perfect adopter for Diana is someone who appreciates the beauty of this cat and is willing to give her a couple of days to warm up. When first arriving in her foster home with dogs and other cats, she wasn't overly happy, but within a couple of days and finding her spot, she's a really, sweet, beautiful girl.
Faith aka Sadie is a 20 lb. 1-year-old female cattle dog/blue heeler mix. For the first 9 months of her life, this sweet girl was tied up in a barn with a chain with nothing but straw separating her and the cold ground. Sadie is a very active little lady that will need daily exercise (would be an awesome agility dog!) She loves to play fetch and go for runs. She enjoys car rides and gets along with just about everybody!
Sadie is micro-chipped, up to date on all vaccinations, and is housebroken and spayed. Her new family will be required to enroll her in a basic obedience course of their choosing. Sadie's adoption fee is $225. Fill out an online application today! http://arf-il.org/application.html
Fees for adoption are: dogs: $200; puppies: $225; cats: $110; kittens: $125, front paw declawed adults cats $125 unless otherwise noted. Right now, older cats and moms are $75 and all black cats are only $25!
