Cat with a Big Personality, Lab-Mix Ready to Play: Pets of the Week

Every week Glen Ellyn Patch share information on adoptable pets waiting for homes. This week's pets are Patches and Reggie.

Each week we bring you two pets looking for homes at area rescue organizations. Does your group want to participate? E-mail local editor Mary Ann Lopez at maryl@patch.com.

Patches

Patches is about 3 years old and is Mr. Personality Deluxe! He gets along with everybody and enjoys playing with his foster mom’s German shepherd, as well as her other foster kitties. He’d make a great companion for another pet or for a human who is looking for a very talkative snuggle buddy. He is housetrained and has all of his claws. Patches is microchipped, up to date on vaccinations and is neutered. His adoption fee is $110.

Reggie

Reggie is a 55-pound, 1-year-old to 2-year-old black Labrador retriever-mix.  His face is pure Lab, but his body is more wiry and his fur is coarser and shorter than a typical Lab.  His personality is very much like a Lab's. Reggie is tentative when meeting new people or dogs, but once he knows people are friendly and gentle, he is super-affectionate.  He likes to run and play hard, chasing a ball or wrestling with his foster siblings.  He also likes to snuggle and he makes an excellent nap partner.  He is uninterested in cats, and leaves them alone unless they are running or playing. But, he leaves them alone when told "leave it." Because of his strength, energy, and puppy-like behavior, children should be 10 or older. Reggie is micro-chipped, up to date on all vaccinations, housebroken and neutered. His adoption fee is $200.
