Adopt Me! Gentle Willa and Kitten Nelson

Every week Glen Ellyn Patch will share information about adoptable pets waiting for homes at local animal shelters.

Each week we bring you two pets looking for homes at area rescue groups. This week the pets are from Animal Rescue Foundation – IL. We welcome other animal shelters and rescue groups to contact us to participate in this weekly column. To participate, contact  Local Editor Mary Ann Lopez.

Willa

Willa is a sweet dog that is about 2 to 3 years old. She was rescued from Kentucky with her four pups, which were adopted right away. She needed time to rest. She was probably an outdoor dog and loves to spend time just relaxing outdoors. She requires a home with a fenced in yard and a family that can give her the time she needs to warm up to them. She is a little tentative around people at first, but is enjoying spending time with her foster family. Willa is very gentle soul. She’s housetrained and crate trained and likes having a safe place to hang out. She is also good with other dogs.

Nelson

Nelson is about 3-months-old and living with a foster family. He is one of six siblings. Nelson’s an orange, shorthaired tabby cat who does well with other cats. He has all of his shots and knows how to use his litter box.
