Adopt Me! Dolly the Pup and Punch the Tuxedo Cat

Every week Glen Ellyn Patch will share information about adoptable pets waiting for homes at local animal shelters.

Each week we bring you two pets looking for homes at area rescue groups. This week the pets are from Animal Rescue Foundation – IL. We welcome other animal shelters and rescue groups to contact us to participate in this weekly column. To participate, contact  Local Editor Mary Ann Lopez.

Dolly

Dolly is a very energetic 3-month-old rat terrier/Chihuahua mix pup. She loves playing with her sister DeeDee and also her foster family, Kobey the Yorkie, Keka the Lab and Smitty the cat. She loves giving kisses, snuggling, sleeping and then back to running laps and playing with her sister.  She gets along with everyone, dogs, cats, kids and adults.  She is working on her potty training but tries really hard!  She goes in her crate on command with a treat and usually sleeps through the night.  She will make any family a happy addition.

Dolly is micro-chipped and up to date on all vaccinations. Her new family will be required to enroll her in a basic obedience course of their choosing. Her adoption fee is $250

Punch

Punch is currently at the adoption center in the PetSmart, Danada in Wheaton.

Punch is a playful male tuxedo boy whose owner could no longer keep him.  He's about 9 lbs of furry love!  He enjoys the company of his foster, but becomes agitated by strangers and children.

He's very good about using his litter box and loves to chase his mouse on a string.  Punch is looking for a quiet, adult-only home.
