Visitation for Laura Heidorn of Glen Ellyn will be 3 p.m. Friday, May 10 at Hultgren Funeral Home in Wheaton.

Laura T. Heidorn, age 53, a longtime resident of Glen Ellyn, IL, died May 3, 2013, peacefully at home after a long battle with cancer. She was born May 29, 1959.

Born in Cicero, IL, she and her family moved to Glen Ellyn when she was nine. She studied dance at the Bobby River's Dance Studio in Glen Ellyn, where she later taught tap and ballet. She attended the Glen Ellyn public schools and graduated from Glenbard West High School in 1977. She met Chris Heidorn later that year and they married on November 10, 1979. She worked as a legal secretary for various Wheaton firms until joining her husband in his practice in 1985. She continued in that role for ten years and later devoted herself to raising her three children.

She was a member of the Wheaton Women's Republican Club and was one of the first members of Milton Township's Community Emergency Response Team. She loved numbers and enjoyed bookkeeping, was a gifted cook and homemaker and enjoyed both vegetable and flower gardening.

She is survived by her husband, O. Chris Heidorn; three children, Ashley (Kearins) Cunningham, Alex Heidorn and Amanda Heidorn; her parents, John Sr. and Audrey Cibulka; two brothers, Mark Cibulka and Bruce (Pamela) Cibulka Sr; and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Friday, May 10, from 3 to 9 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St, in Wheaton, IL. A mass will be held on Saturday, May 11, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Petronille Catholic Church in Glen Ellyn. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery in Winfield, IL.

Memorial gifts may be directed to Laura's favorite charity, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (stjude.org).
