Thomas Anthony Potter, 90, died Sunday, Oct. 6. He was a 45-year resident of Glen Ellyn, a teacher and coach. He also had a long career at RCA Records.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Joan, and his son, Rev. Stephen Potter. He is survived by his children, Tom, David, John, Christina and Maria; his seven grandchildren; and his four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9, at Williams-Kampp Funeral Home, 430 E. Roosevelt Road, Wheaton. A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 10, at St. James the Apostle Church in Glen Ellyn.
Jerome B. Adams, a former Glen Ellyn Fire Prevention inspector, has died. He retired from a 35-year career at United Airlines.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Adrienne, and his children, Jeanette and Julienne.
He is survived by his daughter, Joanne, and his nine grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9, at The Oaks Funeral Home, 1201 E. Irving Park Road, Itasca. A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 10, at Queen of the Rosary Church, 750 W. Elk Grove Blvd., Elk Grove Village.
Dr. Arthur Crovatto
Dr. Arthur Charles Crovatto, 85, died peacefully at his home in York, Pa., Oct. 4. He was the father of James Crovatto of Glen Ellyn.
He is also survived by his wife of 58 years, Janet; his other three children, Jane, Anne and Christopher; and his nine grandchildren.
He earned several honors during his practice of medicine, including the Distinguished Alumni Service Award from Yale, for his "tireless energy and dedication to Yale School of Medicine."
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11, at the Etzweiler Funeral Home, 1111 E. Market St., York, Pa. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, at First Presbyterian Church of York, 225 E. Market St.
