Richard Yant
Richard F. Yant, a volunteer fireman for the Village of Glen Ellyn and a member of UFCW Local 1546, has died.
He is survived by his wife, Anna Marie; his children, Joann and Laura; and his three grandchildren.

Visitation is from 3 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4, at Hursen Funeral Home, Roosevelt and Mannheim roads, Hillside. A funeral Mass will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 5, at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 1115 N. 23rd Ave., Melrose Park.

Paula Kovarik
Paula Kovarik, 75, of Glen Ellyn, died Saturday, Aug. 31, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph; her children, Stephanie, Joseph and Michael; and seven grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 6, at Grace Baptist Church, 1100 S. Fairfield Ave., Lombard. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, at the church. Interment is at Mt. Emblem Cemetery in Elmhurst.
