Judith Escamilla

Judith Escamilla, 73, of Glen Ellyn, has died.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfonso. She is survived by her children, Cynthia, Donald and Alicia; and her grandchildren, Daniel, Deanna, Veronica, David, Justin and Kyle.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 27, at Williams-Kampp Funeral Home, 430 E. Roosevelt Road, Wheaton. A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, at St. James the Apostle Church, 480 S. Park Blvd., Glen Ellyn.

Elayne Richer

Elayne Richer, 86, of Wheaton, formerly of Glen Ellyn, died Sept. 12. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Donald Ruby, Reinhold Kirschbaum and Carl Richer, and her daughter, Lynda Richer.

She is survived by her children, Judith, George and Timothy; her step-children, Herbert, Howard and Tom; her 11 grandchildren; and her many great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, at the DuPage Convalescent Center, 400 N. County Farm Road, Wheaton.

Kenneth Jahnke

Kenneth O. "Bop" Jahnke, 86, died peacefully Monday, Sept. 23, at his home in Glen Ellyn. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn. He is survived by his children, Deb, Sandee and Ruth; his seven grandchildren; and his five great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at 10 a.m., followed by a celebration of his life at noon Saturday, Sept. 28, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 515 S. Wheaton Ave., Wheaton. The family is asking for memorial donations to Honor Flight Chicago or Vitas Hospice of Lombard.

Clara Erickson

Clara Erickson, 101, of Glen Ellyn, died Sept. 15. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond; her son, Charles; and her son-in-law, Lawrence Koehn.

She is survived by her daughters, Carol and Joan; her five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and seven great- great-grandchildren.

Services were private.
