John Wettlaufer

John C. Wettlaufer, 75, of Glen Ellyn, formerly of Naperville, died Monday, Dec. 9, at Arden Courts of Glen Ellyn. He retired from the Internal Revenue Service after 28 years

He was preceded in death by his wife, Vicki. He is survived by his children, John and Virginia, and his six grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13, at the Beidelman-Kunsch Funeral Home, 516 S. Washington St., Naperville. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, at St. Elizabeth Seton Church, 87th and Lisson Road, Naperville.

Harry Stomberski

Harry W. Stomberski, 85, of Herrin died Nov. 16. He is the father of Bradford (Sandra) of Glen Ellyn, Alan of Indian Head Park and Cynthia of Willowbrook.

In addition to his children, he is survived by his wife, Dolores, and one granddaughter.

He retired after 30 years from Fisher Body Division of General Motors in Willow Springs.

Services were held Nov. 19 in Royalton. Father Herman Kincaid will conduct a memorial service at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 21, at Saint Peter and Saint Paul Orthodox Church, 6980 S. County Line Road, Burr Ridge.

Kenneth Heerdt

Kenneth Heerdt, 71, of Glen Ellyn, formerly of Oak Park, has died. He is survived by his children, Amy and Daniel.

A memorial visitation will be held from 9:30 until the time of service at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 21, at Williams-Kampp Funeral Home, 430 E. Roosevelt Road, Wheaton.

Virginia Schick

Virginia (Ginny) Schick, formerly of Glen Ellyn, died Dec. 7 in Houston.

She was the beloved wife for 60 years of Donald Schick. She is survived by her children, Robert, Marybeth, Patty, Bill and Mike, and her 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Dec. 10 in Houston.

Herbert Heiss

Herbert P. Heiss, 82, formerly of Aurora, died Tuesday, Dec. 10, in Arizona. He worked in education for many years, with a focus on troubled teens and special needs students.

He was preceded in death by his son, Brad, and his grandson, Sean. He is survived by his children, Ursula of Glen Ellyn, Joe of Geneva, Mark of Sugar Grove, David of Aurora, John of North Aurora and Staci of Naperville; and his 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

The family will hold a memorial service at a future date.
