Farnsley Peters

Farnsley Peters, a 1947 graduate of Glenbard West High School, died Sunday, Oct. 20, in Florida. He is a veteran of the Korean Conflict and served as president of the Illinois Jaycees.

He is survived by his wife, Jean; his daughter, Susan, of Glen Ellyn; his son, David, of Nokomis, Fla.; and three grandsons.

Services will be held Nov. 27 in Venice, Fla., and a celebration of his life will be held in Glen Ellyn in the spring.

Nelly Wilcox

Nelly V. Wilcox, 83, a Glen Ellyn resident since 1977, died Oct. 8. She was preceded in death by her husband, George.

She is survived by her children, George, Ruth and Michael, and six grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, at St. Petronille Church, 420 Glenwood Ave., Glen Ellyn.

Clair Richardson

Clair L. Richardson, 96, a long-time resident of Glen Ellyn, died Oct. 16 in Oxford, Ohio. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in the Airborne Infantry with the 326 Glider Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division in Western Europe during World War II. He retired as a Lt. Colonel in 1967 and went on to a long career in banking. 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha, and his son, Raymond. He is survived by his daughter, Diane, six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 27, in Oxford. A funeral will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, at First United Methodist Church in Glen Ellyn, 424 Forest Ave.
