Consuelo Newsome

Consuelo M. Newsome (nee Hanley) of Glen Ellyn, has died. She was a long-time member of Glen Ellyn Women's Club and a volunteer at the Spectrios Institute for visual rehabilitation in Wheaton.

She was the beloved mother of Davida Ankeny, grandmother of Robert and Krista, and great-grandmother of Adeline.

Visitation will be from noon until the time of service at 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 23, at Williams-Kampp Funeral Home, 430 E. Roosevelt Road, Wheaton.

Lynn Higgins

Lynn M. Higgins, 59, died Nov. 13 at her Glen Ellyn home. She earned her master's degree from Loyola University, and had been employed at Sears.

She was preceded in death by her father, Allen, and her niece, Sarah. She is survived by her mother, Lucille, and her siblings, Susan, Patricia, Kelly and Patrick. 

Services were held on Sunday in West Chicago.

James Clerken

James R. Clerken, 90, died Nov. 10 at The Meadows in Glen Ellyn. He was a veteran of World War II, serving as staff sergeant, 15th Air Force tail gunner on the B-24J Liberator flown out of Italy. He earned the Silver Service Star, five Bronze Stars and the Air Medal.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Dorothy. He is survived by his children, John, Claudia and Janice, three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Services were held in Wheaton.
