State Representative Sandra Pihos Hosts Technology Fair
State Rep. Sandy Pihos (R-Glen Ellyn) and AT&T Illinois representatives hosted an event at the Carlisle in Lombard on Wednesday to help adults learn how to use their cell phones and other new technologies to stay connected with family and friends from across town or around the world.
People from many communities in House District 48 attended the Technology Fair, which included a demonstration and discussion about new wireless technologies that allow people to stay connected with loved ones. Constituents were appreciative to also be given a list of future resources to access if they have questions or need further assistance.
“These new technologies are exciting and they can help people stay connected with family and friends like never before,” said Pihos. “Since learning about the new advances in technology can be overwhelming and daunting, this was the perfect setting where easy-to-understand information was shared and many questions were answered.”

According to AT&T External Affairs Director Valerie Bruggeman, The Lombard event is part of a new initiative by AT&T Illinois to bring adults and their loved ones together through the use of technology. “We want to help people use these wireless devices, because when they do, a whole new world of connections and opportunities opens up to them,” Bruggeman said. “It’s really exciting for everyone.”
