Representatives Pihos and Bellock to Sponsor Health & Wellness Fair

Residents of all ages from DuPage County and the surrounding area are invited to attend the DuPage Health & Wellness Fair on Thursday, September 12, at The Carlisle, 435 East Butterfield Road, in Lombard, from 10:00 AM until 3:00 PM.  Admission is free and no pre-registration is necessary.  Participants can sign up for free drawings for gift cards.

The fair is hosted by State Representatives Sandra Pihos and Patti Bellock and is sponsored by the American Heart Association, Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital, Adventist Hinsdale Hospital, DuPage Medical Group, and Elmhurst Memorial Hospital.

The event will feature screenings and presentations by the sponsors and exhibitors, along with an amazing display of red dresses by Macy’s Oak Brook, a cooking demonstration and food samples by Capitol Grille in Lombard, and an exercise demonstration by Connie Livingston, a certified fitness expert.   Visitors to the fair will also be able to contribute their gently used fall or winter business attire to Poised For Success, a non for profit organization that collects professional attire for those in need.

More than 50 booths will be staffed by participating agencies and vendors, who will provide health and wellness screenings and information.  “It is always a pleasure to work with our primary healthcare providers to present this event to our public,” said Pihos. “Residents are so fortunate to have access to these outstanding institutions and I commend their commitment to offering men,  women and children the best resources available to enhance and encourage a healthy lifestyle.”

This year’s exhibitors include:
