the charity event about his friend Bob Boozer who died suddenly in May of a brain
aneurysm. Love’s inspirational speech described the tragic loss of his friend but
also promised the crowd at the Chicago BAF event, “I will support your efforts
and so will the Chicago Bulls 100%!”.
The Chicago Chapter of the Brain Aneurysm Foundation was formed in September
2007,creating the FIRST support group in Illinois. Support group meetings for
survivors and their families are held at the University of Illinois Hospital and Health Sciences System.
The chapter has crafted statewide legislation and met with Congress to discuss early
detection and research funding. Chicago BAF is the ONLY chapter in the Midwest. The
Chapter supports survivors in Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky. Chicago
BAF has generated relationships with area businesses, associations and hospitals who’s
main goal is to support brain aneurysm initiatives
