AT&T’s ‘Investing in Illinois Award’ Presented to People’s Resource Center

Wheaton, IL... People’s Resource Center in Wheaton recently received the AT&T Investing in Illinois Award, an award established to provide resources and recognition to organizations and programs that are improving lives in their community. State Representative Sandy Pihos nominated PRC for the award and was at the center with AT&T officials to announce the donation.

“I was pleased to nominate People’s Resource Center for AT&T’s Investing in Illinois Award recently. The award recognizes outstanding local community commitment and service programs. We are fortunate that very committed and caring groups like People’s Resource Center are working to improve the quality of life for many residents of Glen Ellyn and the DuPage County area,” said Pihos.

As part of this award, Family Shelter Service received a $2,500 donation from AT&T to be used to help fund its programs providing food, clothing, job skills programs and more to help those in need in DuPage County.
