Turkey Trot Kicks Off Holiday Happenings Offered by Glen Ellyn Park District

Get ready for some special events this season, thanks to the Glen Ellyn Park District.

Start your holiday celebrations at the annual Turkey Trot Predicto Race at 8 a.m. Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 28. This free, 5-mile race is open to all ages and levels of runners, and you don’t have to cross the finish line first to win. The top two runners who most accurately predict their finish time win a Thanksgiving treat.

Make the season special by taking a trip to Lincoln Park Zoo Dec. 7. Leave the stress of traffic and transportation behind and let Glen Ellyn Park District take care of everything.

Enjoy a candy cane-filled morning full of indoor crafts and an outdoor candy cane hunt on Monday, Dec. 23, at Main Street Recreation Center.

If midnight is too late for your little ones, then the New Year’s Noon Bash onTuesday, December 31 is the perfect way to celebrate. This end-of-the-year bash rings in the New Year at the stroke of NOON with a noisemaker parade and “ball drop”.
