Film Critic Brian Tallerico to Discuss Oscar Contenders at the Glen Ellyn Public Library

Film critic Brian Tallerico visits the Glen Ellyn Public Library at 7pm on Thursday, February 27 to predict and discuss the winners of the 86th Annual Academy Awards.

Tallerico, a member of the Board of Directors for the Chicago Film Critics Association, serves as content director for hollwyoodchiago.com and appears weekly on WGN-Am 720. Tallerico will show movie clips, discuss Oscar contenders and take questions from the audience.

“I’m interested to hear Brian’s predictions,” says library spokesperson Anthony McGinn. “This year’s Academy Award nominations have no clear front-runners. Just when I thought American Hustle would sweep award season, Gravity and 12 Years a Slave had strong runs. And while Matthew McConaughey is poised to win Best Actor in a Leading Role, there is a groundswell of support for Leonardo DiCaprio’s performance in the Wolf of Wall Street. I’m really excited to have Tallerico put everything into perspective and to listen to his thoughts about who will win an Oscar, and, perhaps more importantly, who should win.”
