Children Encouraged to Stop by Glen Ellyn, Naperville Stores to Decorate

Nutrifit and Run Today to Take Heart Rate, Blood Pressure and Provide Heart Healthy Tips

Naperville/Glen Ellyn, Ill. – “Love is in the Hair” is the driving theme the month of February for the Pink Hippo hair bow and children’s clothing store with locations in Naperville and Glen Ellyn.  The highlight of the month is that the stores will donate on behalf of its customers to the American Heart Association.

Highlighting the month will be the opportunity for children to come to either store each Saturday and create a heart to be placed in each store’s windows.  For each heart created, Pink Hippo will make a donation to the American Heart Association.

In addition, local Glen Ellyn stores Nutrifit and Run Today will be at the Glen Ellyn store on Saturday, February 12 offering free blood pressure and heart rate tests.  They will also offer tips about how to stay heart healthy with exercise and monitoring. Cross promotions at all the stores will give customers discounts just for stopping by Pink Hippo.

“We are so excited about the month of February and are pleased to help the American Heart Association,” said Julie Wolfkiel, owner.   “Being heart healthy is very important to all of us and if we can draw attention to this important issue, we feel we have contributed something very special.  And, the fact that the local communities are coming together in Naperville and Glen Ellyn to support heart healthy lifestyles is terrific!”

Wolfkiel pointed out that the Pink Hippo stores will be raffling off a “goodie bag” to customers who make a purchase at the stores.
