Holiday Festival Reminisces About Marshall Fields at Christmas
For more than 150 years, Marshall Field and Co. reigned as Chicago's leading department store. Leslie Goddard, well known historian, actress, and teacher, brings a unique perspective to her presentation of the Fields' story. The Glen Ellyn Woman's Club is proud to present this special program at the Holiday Festival Fund Raiser on Monday, December 6, at 11:30 A.M. The location of the luncheon is the Crowne Plaza, 1250 Roosevelt Road in Glen Ellyn. Tickets are $40.00 and can be purchased by calling club treasurer, Mary Ann Zeitz at 858-8264.
Along with the special program, the Woman's Club presents a Silent Auction featuring gift items, dinner certificates from well known restaurants, and specialty items from Glen Ellyn businesses. The money earned at the Holiday Festival will be used to fund scholarships for Glenbard West and Glenbard South High School, social services in the Village of Glen Ellyn and DuPage County. This annual event is the largest fund raiser the club participates in all year.
