Glen Ellyn/Wheaton CROP Hunger Walk is May 1

The Glen Ellyn/Wheaton CROP Hunger Walk steps off at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 1 from Grace Lutheran Church, Forest Avenue and Crescent Boulevard in Glen Ellyn. Registration begins at 1 p.m.

Participants can choose a six-mile route or a shorter route of about two miles. Strollers are welcome, and water and refreshments will be provided.

The CROP Hunger Walk is organized by Church World Service, a Christian relief agency working against poverty and hunger in some 80 countries. Twenty-five % of the money raised will support four local organizations: the People’s Resource Center, the Interfaith Food Pantry, the DuPage Senior Citizens Council and the Glen Ellyn Food Pantry. The rest of the funds raised will go to Church World Service.
