Glen Ellyn Community Awards
The Glen Ellyn Chamber of Commerce and the Village Fair Committee are seeking nominations for the following awards:
- 1. Citizen of the Year
- 2. Business of the Year
- 3. Not For Profit Organization of the Year
- 4. Senior Citizen of the Year

To be eligible, the individual or organization must have been active in the community and have worked on or developed specific projects to benefit Glen Ellyn. Also, the nominee would have volunteered time, energy, and devotion to significantly improving the quality of life in Glen Ellyn.

Selections of Outstanding Firefighter, Police Office and Educator will also be presented at the Awards ceremony on Saturday, March 10, 2012.
“The Glen Ellyn Chamber of Commerce and the Village Fair Committee have joined together to present the Community Awards again this year. These awards have been presented since 1963 to recognize those individuals and organizations who have provided outstanding contributions to our community,” said Mike Formento, Executive Director, Chamber of Commerce
The Community Awards Breakfast will be held on Saturday March 10, 2012 at the Crowne Plaza. The awards program begins at 7:30 a.m. and will conclude promptly at 9:00 a.m. Tickets are available from the Chamber of Commerce for $22 per person or $160 for a table of 8 people. The public is invited; all attendees must purchase tickets.
