VTG Auditions for "Superior Donuts"

Glen Ellyn’s community theatre, The Village Theatre
Guild, will hold open auditions for its springtime production of “Superior
Donuts,” by Tracy Letts, on Sunday, December 15 and Tuesday, December 17.  The play will run from March 21 through April
12, 2014.

It’s the story of an ex-hippie draft dodger who owns
a run-down donut shop, and his unlikely friendship with an African-American
assistant who has just finished his own great American novel. The play debuted
at Steppenwolf Theatre in Chicago before opening on Broadway in 2009 to much acclaim.

Director Judy DiVita will be looking for actors to
fill nine roles: 2 women and 7 men, ranging in ages from 29 to 72.  Actors should be prepared to cold read
