Victory Gardens Can Be Popular Now As They Were Back In The Day

Friday, March 28, 2014, at 1:00 PM, the Lombard Garden Club members and guests meet at the Lombard Commons, 433 St. Charles Road, in Lombard, to take a walk down Memory Lane and reminisce  about the time in our country when Victory Gardens Friday, March 28, 2014, at 1:00 PM, the Lombard Garden Club members and guests meet at the Lombard Commons, 433 St. Charles Road, in Lombard, to take a walk down Memory Lane and reminise  about the time in our country when Victory Gardens were in everyone’s backyard.  Kirsten Larson from Knupper’s Garden Center in Palatine will share her knowledge in vegetable gardening and show,  that by designing a vegetable garden in even a small space, gardeners can grow successful plants and add to their families healthy eating habits.  Larson grew up on a 50 acre organic farm so she is well versed in vegetable gardening.  Guests are welcome and should call 630-202-4211 a week ahead of time to make a reservation.
