The Great Lake Ellyn Duck Race

First Annual Great Lake Ellyn Duck Race, July 23rd at 7:30pm

June
13, 2014 - The Glen Ellyn Park District and the Alliance of Downtown Glen Ellyn
have teamed up to bring a new event to town this summer! Our 1st Annual Great Lake
Ellyn Duck Race will take place Wednesday, July 23rd at 7:30pm after
the Park District’s Family Fun Night.

Ducks will be sold at various downtown locations
such as Marcel’s, AliKat, Costello Jewelry Company, The Bookstore, Renaissance
Art Studio, A Bella Bead, Glen Ellyn Sweet Shoppe and Paisley on Main. Spring
and Main Street Recreation Centers, Ackerman Sports & Fitness
Center and Holes & Knolls will have them for sale as
well beginning on June 9.

Adopt a duck
for $10 or purchase a “quack pack” for $30 (4
ducks). Monies raised will benefit the Glen Ellyn Park District
Scholarship Fund and the Alliance of Downtown Glen Ellyn. First, second
and third prize will be sharing 1/4 of the pot of cash raised! Only 1000 ducks
will be sold. Come join the fun and raise monies for two great groups!

The Park District’s Family Fun Night is a free event brought to you by
the Glen Ellyn Park District and this year’s event is not to be missed!

toy check-up event at Family Fun Night!  Bring in your favorite stuffed
animal or toy for a check- up with the Radio Disney Junior Road Crew, powered
by DuPage Medical Group.  

Experience fun activities focused on healthy living and well-being.
Plus, there will be movin’ and shakin’ along to your favorite Doc songs. See
how there is so much you can do to take care of you! Bring your favorite toy to
Family Fun Night at Lake Ellyn Park on Wednesday July 23rd, from
5:30-7:30.
