Stories from the Street

On Fri, Dec 13 at 7pm, First Pres will host a performance of Emmaus Ministry’s, Stories from the Street, in the Gathering Place.  These stories are conveyed in a compelling way through music and spoken monologues. Emmaus Ministries works with a group of guys whose stories are rarely heard by anyone who can offer them hope.  While we safely sleep, they walk streets we don’t visit, selling themselves to survive.  They seem so different, so “other.”  Hopeless.  Untouchable.  Outcasts.

We have heard these guys’ stories, and they have changed us.

Emmaus Ministries reaches out to men in prostitution on the streets of Chicago to help them get off the streets and cultivate a life-transforming relationship with Jesus Christ.

Come join us and see if these stories change you. Due to the nature of Emmaus’s work which is reflected in the content of this presentation, it is not appropriate for children, adolescents or teenagers. Contact Mike Hughes at mhughes96@sbcglobal.net or 815-509-4922.
