Screening of Award-Winning Documentary “The Vivian Maier Mystery” Featured in Cleve Carney Art Gallery Special Event July 27
In support of the current exhibition of work by acclaimed photographer Vivian Maier, the Cleve Carney Art Gallery hosts “An Afternoon with Vivian Maier,” a film screening/panel discussion/book signing ticketed event Sunday, July 27 from 1 - 4 p.m.
This event will begin at 1 p.m. with a screening of Jill Nicholls’ 50-minute award-winning BBC documentary, “The Vivian Maier Mystery,” in the MAC’s Belushi Performance Hall. A panel discussion and Q&A session follows featuring Jeffrey Goldstein, one of the three original owners of what is known to exist of Vivian’s work; vintage film processor Frank Jackowiak, who is also co-curator of the Cleve Carney Art Gallery’s current “Vivian Maier: Exposed” exhibition; and master printers Ron Gordon and Sandy Steinbrecher. A special gallery walk-through and book signing by Richard Cahan and Michael Williams, authors of “Vivian Maier: Out of the Shadows,” completes the afternoon. Tickets are $10.
