Orbert Davis' Chicago Jazz Philharmonic Chamber Ensemble brings “Mardi Gras Carnival: A Salute to New Orleans" to the MAC March 22.

Orbert Davis’ Chicago Jazz Philharmonic Chamber Ensemble explores and celebrates the rich musical culture of New Orleans with ragtime melodies, brass band marches and more in a program of music drawing from legends like Louis Armstrong and King Oliver who helped bring the signature New
Orleans sound to the world. Ragtime Piano Sensation and MacArthur “Genius” Reginald Robinson and Grammy Award-winner Howard Levy join CJP for this salute to New Orleans featuring Davis’ New Work “Survival of the Saints. That same evening, the  MAC also presents a pre-performance Taste of Mardi Gras in the MAC Belushi Performance Hall Lobby beginning at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $12.
