WHY:             More than 783 million
people face the daily challenge of finding water. Many
spend 20 hours per week – often trekking seven miles per day – collecting contaminated
water, which can lead to life-threatening diseases. Clean water means better sanitation and hygiene, disease and infant death prevention, freed time for paid work
and school, full hydration with improved focus and energy and more cooking
water for meals.
