League of Women Voters of Glen Ellyn Presents “Changing Demographics in DuPage County”

The LWV of Glen Ellyn presents "Changing Demographics in DuPage County” by Candace
King, Executive Director of DuPage Federation on Human Services
Reform, and Emily Gray, Executive Director of World Relief DuPage/Aurora on Thursday, Oct. 17, 7:30 p.m. at the Glen Ellyn Civic Center. Candace and Emily will talk about poverty, immigration, public policy and how these impact
our schools, community, and lives. They will help us to understand who is poor and why and provide an
opportunity to discuss the self-sufficiency wage and how much it really costs
to live in DuPage County. Open to the pubic.



The League of Women Voters of Glen Ellyn, a
nonpartisan political organization, encourages informed and active participation
in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues,
and influences public policy through education and advocacy.
