Glen Crest Administrators and Physical Education Staff All Set for Pumpkin Run

 Sunday, October 27, at Glen Crest Middle School, 725 Sheehan Avenue, in Glen Ellyn, the annual Spartan Pumpkin 3.5 K Walk/Run takes off from the middle school parking lot.

Early registration of this event begins October 18. Cost to enter is $15.00 and participants age 4 and under are free.  All paid participants get a T-shirt as early as October 26.  To register early pick up a registration form at the Glen Crest main office and return the application  in a sealed envelope to the drop box in the main office.  

     People who register on Race Day are to pay $20.00 and children 4 and under are free.  Registration check-in on Oct. 27 begins at 9:30 to 10:15 in the main lobby of the middle school.  All race day registration paid entries will receive a T-shirt one week after the race. Race begins at 10:30 AM.

     The Pumpkin Run race fee includes a Spartan Run T-shirt, one raffle ticket (more may be purchased) and bottled water.  Proceeds of the Pumpkin Run benefit all Glen Crest students by helping off set costs of equipment needed for intramurals, fitness center, inter-scholastics and the Physical Education Program.  

     The Spartan Pumpkin Run will take place rain or shine.  After the 3.5 K race is concluded, raffle winners will be drawn in the Glen Crest gym at 11:30 A.M.
