Public Meeting on National Health Care

January 17 Meeting Helps Citizens Understand New Healthcare Law


 


December 23, 2012-Glen Ellyn, IL The League of Women Voters of Glen Ellyn's January meeting will help members and citizens better understand the new Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA), also dubbed "Obamacare." The meeting is scheduled for Thursday, January 17, at 7:30 p.m., at the Meadows Senior Living Facility, 60 N. Nicoll Way, Glen Ellyn, IL. The meeting is open to the public.

Laura Leon, a representative of the Campaign for Better Healthcare, will deliver accurate, unbiased and truthful information about the law and how it affects the healthcare of citizens, as well as the responsibilities of insurance companies, doctors, hospitals and business owners. Some of the law has already has been implemented. In 2014, the balance of the law will be phased into effect. Please come prepared to ask any questions you may have.
