Glen Ellyn Historical Society Reschedules “Letters of the Civil War” to Sunday, Feb. 3


The Sunday, Jan. 27, the program,"Letters of the Civil War," sponsored by the Glen Ellyn Historical Society has been cancelled due to weather conditiions.  The new date is Sunday, February 3, at 3:00 P.M.
    The program is being presented at the Glen Ellyn History Center, 800 North Main Street .  Tickets for this program are available at Stacy's Corners Store and at the door on the afternoon of the program.  Ticket price is $10 for members of the GEHS, $12 for non members and $5 for students under 18 years of age.
    "Letters of the Civil War," is a 60 minute performance with period attired Civil War Actors dramatically interpreting over 30 original letters from the war.  There is a music accompaniment, period photographs and historical reenactment video footage.  According to the Historical Interpreters, Rebecca Tulloch and Phil Lauricella, "The men, women and children of the Blue and Gray are given voice from their words written during the war."
Together these two actors have 35 years of performing historical programs in schools, libraries, museums and other venues through out the Midwest.  Call 630-469-1867 for information and check on the GEHS website, www.glenellynhistory.org.
