Fox Valley Chapter of American Guild of Organists Announces Concert in February

The Fox Valley Chapter of the American Guild of Organists (AGO) will be presenting an organ recital at Grace Lutheran Church on Friday evening, February 22 at 7:30 p.m.  Grace Lutheran is located at 493 Forest Avenue in Glen Ellyn. 
The AGO is a national music club made up of organists and organ enthusiasts of all ages.  Seven members of the local Fox Valley Chapter will be performing:  Christopher Orf, organist at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Wheaton; George Felty, organist at St. Irene Catholic Church in Warrenville; T.Jared Stellmacher, organist at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Hinsdale; Michael Surratt, organist at First United Church of Oak Park; Dan Pollack, organist at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Lombard; Bonnie Johansen-Werner, organist at St. Luke Presbyterian Church in Downers Grove; and Jean Spyksma, organist at Grace Lutheran in Glen Ellyn.
They will be performing on the church’s 35-rank, 27 stop, two manual Schlicker organ, rebuilt with additions by the Berghaus Organ Company in 1999.  The concert is free and open to the public.  Refreshments will follow the program.
