Wednesday, December 5, at Abbington Banquets, 3S002 Route 53 in Glen Ellyn, the Glen Ellyn Wheaton Community Associates of the Art Institute of Chicago provide a unique and fascinating program for their members and guests. Gillion Carrara, adjunct professor and director of the Fashion Resource Center at the School of the Art Institute presents a program titled, “Enduring Coco Chanel.” Parisian couturier Chanel was an innovative designer principally known for her pristine construction, fit, and revolutionary concepts for the modern woman. Impresario Serge Diaghilev was an art critic and the demanding founder of the Ballets Russes. They collaborated and clashed. Stay tuned to find out what happened.
