Community Awards Breakfast

The Glen
Ellyn Chamber of Commerce and the Village Fair Committee are
seeking nominations for the following awards:

Citizen of
the Year

2.                 
Business of
the Year

3.                 
Not For
Profit Organization of the Year

4.                 
Senior
Citizen of the Year

“The Glen Ellyn Chamber of Commerce and the Village Fair
Committee have joined together to present the Community Awards again this
year.  These awards have been presented
since 1963 to recognize those individuals and organizations who have provided
outstanding contributions to our community,” said Mike Formento, co-Executive
Director, Chamber of Commerce

To be eligible, the individual must be a resident of Glen
Ellyn or the organization must be active in the Glen Ellyn community. The
individual or organization must have worked on or developed specific projects
to benefit Glen Ellyn.  Also, the nominee
would have volunteered time, energy, and devotion to significantly improving
the quality of life in Glen Ellyn.

Selections of Outstanding Firefighter, Police Office and
Educators from district 41, 87, and 89 will also be presented at the Awards
ceremony .

The Community Awards Breakfast will be held on Saturday March 8, 2014 at the Crowne Plaza.  The awards program begins at 7:30 a.m. and will conclude promptly
at 9:00 a.m.  Tickets are available from the Chamber of
Commerce for $25 per person or $175 for a table of 8 people. The public is
invited; all attendees must purchase tickets.
