Congregation Etz Chaim of Du Page County invites the entire community to its second annual luncheon and pottery sale to benefit those who are hungry in Du Page County. The Garry Gardner Memorial Bowls for Hunger event will take place on Sunday, November 3rd from 11:30 am to 2:00 pm, in the social hall of the synagogue at 1710 S. Highland Avenue, Lombard.
For a $10 donation, guests may select a handcrafted pottery bowl, enjoy a light lunch of homemade soup and bread, and keep their bowl as a reminder of all the empty bowls and hungry people in the world. Additional ceramics and pottery created by local craftspeople will be available for purchase at the event. Children are welcome and may enjoy lunch for $2 per child. All proceeds will be donated to the Walk-In Ministry in Lombard.
