Roles: 3 Women, 2 Men (ages mid 30;s to 70;s)
Lyman Wyeth (M) 70's; a wealthy former movie star and ambassador once
steeped in Reagan Republican politics, now self-exiled to Palm Springs.
Polly Wyeth (F) 70's; Lyman's wife; tough, bitter, hard and terrified of
being otherwise; holding things together despite life's extreme

disappointments.
Brooke Wyeth (F) mid-40's; Lyman and Polly's daughter; a depressive and
fragile writer who has recovered from a nervous breakdown by writing an

explosive book about the family's most painful chapter for which she has come
home to seek her parents' blessing.
Trip Wyeth (M) mid-30's; Lyman and Polly's youngest child; a TV
producer, and the least scarred member of the family. One who is actually calm
and at ease, as well as his mother's darling.
Silda Grauer (F) 50–65; Polly's sister and former partner in a
scriptwriting team; a wisecracking burnt-out alcoholic, and favorite aunt.

Summary: Brooke Wyeth, the "black sheep" liberal daughter, returns home after a six-year absence to celebrate Christmas in Palm Springs with her parents, former members of the Reagan inner-circle.

When she announces that she is about to publish a memoir dredging up a pivotal
and explosive event in the family's history, the Wyeths are both bound and torn
as they face their past...and their future.
