Little Wing Free Trial with the Sunrise Seniors!

That's right! We're bringing Little Wing to the Sunrise Senior Center in Glen Ellyn (95 Carleton Ave) on June 4, 2013 at 10:00 AM. Not only is this an opportunity for your 4-5 year old to try the class for free, we're inviting any interested Sunrise residents to join in! We're excited to be able to offer this free trial while sharing the fun of music education with the seniors.

Little Wing is an innovative early childhood music education program developed by the School of Rock for children ages 4-5. Throughout each 45-minute class, the children go through a series of activities that blend music, science and fun to learn musical concepts (pitch, rhythm, chorus) and recognize the different key instruments that make the music they hear, all while encouraging key developmental skills- social, gross/fine motor, cognitive and language/literacy skills. In addition, the music selections used aren't the typical nursery rhymes that pre-schoolers learn in school, we'll play activities to songs by artists such as The Beatles and The Who, so that they're experiencing different rock, blues and reggae tempos and rhythms.
