Artemisia Awarded Grant by The Saints

Artemisia, A Chicago Theatre was one of twenty-two Chicago based, not-for-profit performing arts organizations honored at The Saints first-ever grants award ceremony on June 3, 2014.  Held at DePaul’s new theatre building, The Saints awarded $100,000 in grants ranging from $800 to $7,500 to help fund performance projects during 2014-2015.  Artemisia, founded to produce scripts that empower women, will use the grant to fund the Actors’ Equity Salary for the leading actress in the American premiere production of Belfast Girls, slated to open in April of 2015.  Artemisia was chosen for a grant award from 134 grant applicants.

The Saints is long-standing and honored volunteer organization that provides ushering services free of charge to Chicagoland’s vast number and variety of performing arts companies and venues.  Artemisia, A Chicago Theatre and The Saints are both 501 (c) 3 organizations, and donations to both organizations are tax-deductible.  For more information about The Saints and how to become a member visit www.saintschicago.org.
