Women's Boutique Closing After 3 Months

The owner is packing up for a screenwriting gig in California, according to the store's Facebook page.

Dames & Damsels is closing after opening three months ago in March, according to the business' Facebook page.

In a message to Facebook followers, owner Christopher Allison said he is leaving in July to work as a contributing writer in Studio City, Calif., for a major motion picture. Now, all the items in the store are 50 percent off and Allison is looking for someone to purchase the store.

Allison opened up the boutique, located in the Little Shops on Main Street and Crescent Boulevard, after moving back from Los Angeles. He grew up in the Chicagoland area, left for Los Angeles but wanted to come back to be closer to family and friends. Dames & Damsels was his reason to make the move, .

There wasn't an over abundance of items in Allison's store. He wanted to keep it simple by switching out items every few weeks instead of having a cluttered store.
