Open for Business During Construction

Businesses in the Little Shops are still open while ComEd does construction in downtown Glen Ellyn.

A few downtown businesses want shoppers and residents to know they are open for business while ComEd completes construction in downtown Glen Ellyn.

Business owners in the Little Shops at 526 Crescent Blvd. want to remind patrons that they may enter the building from the Main Street entrance while construction is underway.

As Glen Ellyn Patch has reported, ComEd sidewalk work is also reducing some parking spaces in downtown Glen Ellyn.

While the utility is in the process of doing work construction, Main Street north of Crescent Boulevard to the alley at 526 Crescent Blvd. will be closed. The sidewalk work is expected to be completed by March 8, according to the Village of Glen Ellyn

While the work is underway, parking spaces will be reduced. Pedestrians will be able to walk because a barrier will be in place at the curb, the village said.
